Oakville Laboratory Design & Build

Project Overview:
Nordeca Inc. has been commissioned to lead the architectural transformation of an existing warehouse space into a fully functional laboratory facility in Oakville, Ontario. This project involves the redesign and adaptation of the interior layout to meet new operational requirements and functional zoning suitable for laboratory use.

Key responsibilities and scope of work included:

  • Full interior architectural design of the laboratory space, including space planning and functional zoning
  • Detailed custom millwork and furniture design tailored to laboratory operations
  • Architectural revisions in accordance with the new use requirements and client needs
  • Preparation and submission of permit drawings in compliance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC)
  • Coordination with municipal authorities for building permit approvals
  • Project management throughout all phases of design and construction
  • Acting as General Contractor for the execution and delivery of the project

Code Compliance:
All architectural interventions and documentation have been developed in accordance with the latest edition of the Ontario Building Code (OBC), ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with health, safety, and occupancy standards applicable to laboratory environments.
