Nordeca Inc. was commissioned to design, fabricate, and install multiple custom fireplace features within a private residence in Toronto, Ontario. Delivered as a comprehensive design-build service, the project focused on architectural cohesion, high-end material application, and room-specific detailing to ensure that each fireplace reflected both its setting and the homeowner’s aesthetic vision.

Key Responsibilities and Scope of Work

Interior Detailing & Design Development

• Unique design solutions were developed for each fireplace location, responding to the scale, function, and character of the respective rooms. The emphasis was on refined proportions, material richness, and spatial balance.

Custom Fireplace Surround Fabrication

• Each fireplace surround was individually fabricated in-house by Nordeca Inc., with distinct dimensions, profiles, and finishing treatments tailored to its room context — from formal living areas to intimate workspaces.

Polished Wood Veneer Wall Paneling Installation

• In the attic-level home office, a custom surround was framed with polished wood veneer wall paneling. The panels were installed with exceptional craftsmanship to enhance the architectural definition and add a layer of warmth and sophistication to the workspace.

Material Selection & Finish Coordination

• Nordeca collaborated with the homeowner to curate material palettes for each fireplace, ensuring visual continuity and premium finish standards across all zones.
