Nordeca Inc. was commissioned to lead the design and execution of a modern meeting room within an existing commercial facility in Oakville, Ontario. The project encompassed comprehensive architectural planning, custom interior design, and the integration of advanced audio-visual systems to support online meetings and video conferencing. All work was developed in full compliance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and local zoning requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Scope of Work Included:
- Architectural Design & Planning
- Development of detailed interior and architectural drawings, including mechanical and electrical layouts
- All plans prepared in compliance with the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and Town of Oakville zoning by-laws
- Approvals & Permitting
- Preparation and submission of full permit drawing packages (electrical & mechanical)
- Coordination with local municipal departments to secure all necessary approvals
- Code Compliance & Building Upgrades
- Implementation of upgrades to meet commercial fire safety, accessibility, and egress requirements under OBC
- Project Management & General Contracting
- Oversight of project timelines, consultant coordination, and municipal communication
- Nordeca served as both Project Manager and General Contractor, managing all stages from design to build
- Custom-Built Millwork Production
- In-house design, production, and installation of all meeting room furniture and wall claddings
- Fabrication of sound-integrated millwork for optimal acoustic performance and visual consistency
